The doors in
To stay in Norway for more than three months, a European citizen has to come through one of these doors. In front of each of them, the same three locks, which nobody opens alone: the identity number, the appointment at the counter, the BankID.

It only opens limited access to online services — neither residence, nor BankID, nor a doctor. And you cannot apply for it yourself.

We welcome you at Trondheim airport and accompany you to the one-stop counter for foreign nationals, file in hand.
The first weeks
Identity number, tax card, bank, letters from the authorities: we accompany you until each application is completed.

Taken one by one, the procedures are not hard. What costs weeks is their order, their deadlines and a few traps you only discover at the counter.
- A legal deadline starts running the day you arrive: a European citizen staying more than three months must register no later than three months after arriving. See the procedure
- Changing your address is not registering as a resident: only the notification of moving, checked at the counter, gives you the Norwegian identity number. See the procedure

We live in Trøndelag, where we settled in 2026. The procedures described on this site are ones we go through ourselves: the files we prepare with you are built like those we put together for our own move, with the same forms, the same counters and the same traps.
Our job is simple to state: that you arrive with a complete file, in the right order, and that nobody sends you home to fetch a missing document.
Frequently asked questions
I do not have a job in Norway yet. Can you help me?
Yes. An employment contract is not the only possible basis of residence for a European citizen. Which one suits you, and how to prove it, is what we examine with you before anything is filed.
I am moving somewhere other than Trondheim.
Remote preparation applies to the whole of Norway. Welcome and accompaniment at the counter currently take place in the Trondheim region.
I am not an EU or EEA citizen.
Your move goes through a residence permit, a different procedure that we do not handle. This also applies to British citizens since Brexit.
How much does your accompaniment cost?
